The number of part-time matric candidates in 2010 was 82,835, more than double the 2009 number. The number of full-time candidates fell by 3.7% to 559,166. The headline pass rate (which increased by 7.2% to 67.8%) refers only to full time candidates. (Report on the National Senior Certificate Examination results, 2010)

    The sic / sad thing is that this is sooo far for the true reflection. The mark percentages were manipulated to look much better than the whole the actual fact … not anything new either, it’s been done for year now. This one I think was a HUGE move. Such a pity, these youngsters believe that they can get though varsity in the same way. Maybe it is being manipulated there too??? Imagine that!!
