According to AMPS 2016 (2015B re-weighted), the most popular music genre in South Africa is Gospel. 61% of adults listen to this genre. Adults aged 15-24 are the age group most likely to listen to Rap/Hip-Hop. Adults aged 50 and above are the age group most likely to listen to Boere Musiek. (AMPS 2015B)

    Are you sure it is Boeremusiek? I cannot agree with this. If it said Afrikaans music I would agree.

      Hi Ziki

      According to AMPS 2015B reweighted, across the Boere Musiek genre, 48% of listeners are in the age group 50+. The age group that makes up the next biggest portion of Boere Musiek listeners is 35-49 at 25%. This is why we stated: “Adults aged 50 and above are the age group most likely to listen to Boere Musiek”
