When you stand on a scale, what you are actually measuring is the strength of Earth’s gravitational pull. If you were to stand on a scale on another planet, it would say something different than it does on Earth. For example, if you weight 100kg on Earth, you would weigh 38kg on Mars due to Mars’ gravity being roughly 38% of the gravity on Earth.
