In 2014, Multichoice had revenues of R27.5 bn and over 5 million subscribers. By comparison, gross TV Licence fees collected by the SABC in the 2013/14 financial year were R927.9 million. Assuming 80% paid full licenses (R265 per annum) and 20% got concessions (R74 per annum) the total number of households paying their TV licenses (assuming one household one tv) was just under 4.1 million (SABC Annual Report, http://bit.ly/1wpxUeg)

    Makes me wonder if all the DSTV subscribers pay their TV licence (5 Million DSTV subscribers vs 4.1 million paying TV Licence payers)!

    Speakin fo the ‘The right thing to do’ I wonder if people have heard of ‘unashamedly ethical’ (UE) i.e. to do the ‘right thing, right now!’. More people need to sign their commitment iro UE. See
