The San People, a diverse group of skilled hunter-gatherers who number about 100,000 and share historical and linguistic connections, are the oldest inhabitants of Southern Africa where they have lived for at least the past 20 000 years.     Hi, my understanding is that current archaeological thinking places the San here for at least 70,000 years…

      We found several sources with different statements, so we chose to go with the conservative estimate
