Some are concerned the side effects of the COVID vaccine. According to the CDC, severe cases of anaphylaxis as a response to the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are currently at a rate of 6.2 and 2.1 cases per million doses respectively, and are readily treatable. In a study on the safety of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine, fewer people who received the vaccine had severe side effects than among those who received the placebo.
