   If there was the Political Will to completely i.e. 95% eliminate poverty in its entirety in South Africa this could be done in just 3 months.

   2.5 million free houses. 14 million grant recipients. Free water. Electricity widespread. Sounds like some measure of success to me.

   Good point Zakes, but how is SA doing with job creation and technical skills development? Our eductaion system seems to be floundering and the SETAs seem generally unsuccessful.

   Are we creating a dependency mentality? Basic services are essential and a crucial foot-up for the next generation, but will the next generation be a burden or an asset to the nation? It’s a giving fish vs teaching to fish kind of problem.
