Anywhere from a quarter to a third of Kenya’s 89 billion USD GDP comes from the agricultural sector. As a result, over 75% of Kenyans earn all or part of their income from agriculture. Despite this, the agricultural sector is inefficient and complex, affecting small to medium sized businesses who sometimes lack access to a reliable supply of affordable and quality products. In 2014 Twiga was launched, running a mobile business to business food supply platform in order to more accurately connect supply to demand.
