   Hi Phil, the term “discouraged work-seeker” is used by Statistics South Africa to define those individuals who are not employed but want to work and are available to work but have not taken active steps to find work in the last four
   weeks, and the main reason given for not seeking work was any of the following: no jobs available
   in the area; unable to find work requiring his/her skills; lost hope of finding any kind of work.

   what the heck is a discouraged work-seeker!!!!!!!!!!!where do you find is unhelpful jargon.
   i am sure these people are more likely unhappy/pissed off or angry about being let down by the system.
