    This is very disappointing and more so killing our future leaders. How does one get a pass for achieving 30%,thats as bad as 0%. In simple terms it means that person only received 3 answers out of 10 correct. The DoE must relook the pass mark we cannot fool around with our children, 30% is a clear fail.

    I agree with Sibo! One cannot accept 30% as a pass mark! This reflective of a nation in peril especially if read with the mathematics pass rate!

    Why not reduce the pass-rate to 20%, or 10%, and then ALL South Africans can get a matriculation certificate?
