Thirsty Threads
It takes 3,781 liters of water to produce just one pair of jeans — from cotton farming to final wash. To put that in perspective, the World Health Organization recommends that each person drink at least 5.3 liters of water per day to stay hydrated. That adds up to around 1,934.5 liters per year. So, when you buy one new pair of jeans, you’re essentially wearing the equivalent of nearly two years’ worth of drinking water for one person.
