Between January and August 2014, Telkom had the highest spend on advertising of all the parastatals spending a total of R174.6 million (ranking it as the 25th highest spender on advertising in SA over the time period). Over the same period the SA National Roads Agency spent R72.6 million, SAA spent R60.4 million and the SABC spent R57.4 million (Financial Mail, Adfocus 2014)
