According to the NHI Green Paper, South Africa spends 8.5% of GDP on healthcare. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends that countries spend at least 5% of GDP on health, and average expenditure for middle income countries is 5.8% of GDP. (bit.ly/13nHa9A)

    How can the service @ state Hospitals still be so Incredibly Kak ???
    It would be interesting to know how much less Government would have to spend if they worked on Private Sector Costs – with Private Sector Effeciency, but without the same Markups…
