In the last 2 months i have seen my electricity come down by R600 just by switching off plugs. i dont use my clock radio in the day so i switch it off and reset at night. I dont water the garden every day with the irrigation system. We limit the time the creepy is on in the pool. I put buckets out to catch the water when it rains and use when i can. I dont use lights in the morning as it is light enough. I switch off the geyser when i go away. It may not be much overall but for me R600 is a substantial saving! We switch off the TV plug as well during the day! So if people could just see the money they would save that may be what will play a role in reducing usage!
